Whilst it’s a comparatively expensive alternative to regular fencing, the ‘Instagrammer’ homeowners will be eager to add this to their garden design this summer!

Return of the pergola

Something we have seen creeping in over the past six months is the return of the pergola, with many high street suppliers starting to stock some great quality and low-cost options, therefore allowing homeowners to add at this touch of luxury to their homes - and some shade in the heat of the day! A pergola is a great way to set the mood in your garden, creating privacy and providing a perfect designated seating or dining area that creates a picturesque backdrop or focal point in your garden. Add a hot tub (wood-fired will keep energy costs down), and it turns into a home spa.

It's all about the furniture!

In last year's garden trends blog, we mentioned how outdoor kitchens were on the rise, and this again is something we expect to continue in 2023, but similarly, we expect garden furniture to continue in its wake. As many homeowners tighten their belts this summer due to the ever-demanding cost of inflation, we expect to see them creating their ‘own touch of luxury’ in their outdoor space in a bid to save money on their usual leisure summer activities. The market for garden furniture has upped its game in recent years with outdoor firepits, tables with built-in fires, outdoor TVs and projectors - the list goes on!
