Appeal hearings to get a digital makeover!

Planning appeal hearings will no longer be kept behind closed doors.

As it has been announced this month new guidance will be put in place to allow planning appeal hearings to be “filmed, tweeted and reported”.

Local Government Secretary, Eric Pickles, published guidance for councilors to allow and welcome filming and social media back in June. It has now been announced he will be publishing guidance which formally opens up planning appeal hearings to the public. The move has been seen as controversial by some councils.

This means that the mysterious and little known side of the planning process could now be more openly available, making it easier to find outcomes of appeals and planning processes. The process for planning applications and planning appeals can be frustrating and time consuming and contribute to significant building delays.

We’re proud of our planning approval record of 99% success rate. If you’d like to talk to us about how we can help your planning application gain approval, please contact us.
